Investigation Target

「About 2000 ships from 800 domestic passenger and cargo transportation enterprises based on 「Basic Act on Low Carbon, Green Growth」Article 42 paragraph 5 and Marine Transportation Act」Article 3 and Article 23.
Domestic Passenger
  • General Passenger Ship
  • Ferry
  • Express Passenger Ship
  • etc...
Domestic Cargo
  • General Cargo Ship
  • Oil Tanker
  • Barge
  • etc...

Greenhouse Gas Emissions Calculation

Automatically calculate the greenhouse gas emission by applying the emission factor and caloric value of each oil type to the data collected by the simultaneous investigation on coastal shipping greenhouse gas emission such as maritime fuel oil usage (yearly) in transportation sector.

  • Enter 3-year fuel oil usage system by each ship

  • Apply emission factor and caloric value by oil type
  • Automatically calculate the greenhouse gas emission by each shipping enterprise and by each ship
※ Greenhouse Gas Emissions = Fuel oil usage × emission factor × caloric value [Source: Guidelines for Greenhouse Gas Energy Target Management Operations, Attached form16]

Emission Tendency Analysis

Estimating the actual greenhouse gas emission and energy consumption through fuel oil usage investigation of each coastal shipping vessels, it is meaningful as a basic data allowing to compare with top-down estimation proposed by the government, while offering multidimensional analysis for emission amount trend and energy consumption efficiency.
